Authentication

Nothing joins the catalogue unexamined.

Every pre-owned timepiece and estate piece passes the same four-stage examination before it is photographed, priced, or shown to a single client. The process takes as long as it takes.

01

Movement

Caseback opened, calibre inspected under magnification, serial cross-referenced against production records. A correct dial on a wrong movement is still a wrong watch.

02

Dial & Hands

Printing, lume aging, and font geometry checked against period-correct references. Service replacements are disclosed, never discovered.

03

Case & Bracelet

Case lines, hallmarks, and between-lug wear examined for over-polishing and swapped components. Estate jewelry is assayed, and stones are measured and graded under the loupe.

04

Papers & Provenance

Warranty cards, service records, and ownership history verified where they exist - and stated plainly where they do not. The listing says exactly what we could and could not confirm.

On Every Invoice

The paperwork travels with the piece.

  • A written condition report covering all four stages of examination.
  • Serial and reference numbers as verified, with photographs on file.
  • Full disclosure of service parts, polish history, and anything we could not confirm.
